Immunizations
Vaccines save lives. Every day.
At Western Loudoun Pediatrics, we firmly believe in vaccines and recommend the routine schedule of immunizations at the recommended times.
Many parents have questions about vaccines. Are there too many? Will they overwhelm the child's immune system? Do they cause autism or other developmental issues? Are the preservatives harmful? Is my child considered to be low-risk for catching the preventable illnesses because I keep him/her home most of the time?
The answer to all of these questions is NO. Years of studies and research have disproven these fears and theories.

*We follow the standard immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We do not agree that delaying or spacing out vaccines is beneficial in any way.
*If you wish to space out vaccines, your child must remain up to date with the overall schedule. *Any additional nurse visits for vaccines must be scheduled. *For any patients who need to catch up, there must be a clear plan for completing the full schedule of vaccines. This includes ALL required vaccines. |
